Bed Frames Bedsteads Wooden Metal Leather Ottoman and Guest Beds

Bed frames or bedsteads have become extremely popular over the last few years; they offer a wide range of styles and choices to match many interiors and can be used to make a real design impact in a bedroom. We have on display in our Congleton showroom wooden bed frames, metal, leather, ottoman and guest beds.

Wooden Bed Frames

The above beds are examples of wooden bed frames; all the beds are from the Sweet Dreams range and are featured to demonstrate the wide variety of styles that are available from the traditional to contemporary design.

Most common system to support the mattress is wooden slats, either rigid (no give) or flexible sprung slats. The space between slats on most, cheaper, rigid bases is usually wider than on flexible slatted models but is advisable to ensure the gap is not more than 9-10cm. Wear and tear on a mattresses will be greater the wider the gaps.

Metal Bed Frames

Over recent years there has been a shift to more contemporary design trends, and this more minimalist approach to the home has had a significant impact on bedrooms. Metal bed stead's can provide a real design statement in a bedroom over more traditional divans or designs. Please enquire at Victoria Beds showroom if you require a metal bed frame.

Leather Bed Steads

Another popular design statement are Leather Bedstead's, they can offer a real sense of luxury to your bedroom. They are usually available in different colour ways, all the above have spring slatted base. Most bed manufacturer's design mattresses pacifically for use with a bedstead so please make sure you take advice in the correct type of mattress for your bedstead.

Ottoman and Vistor/Guest Beds

Ottoman Divans - Ottoman Divans have a shallow platform top, hinged to the rest of the base, which, when lifted gives access to almost all the under bed area. Hydraulic or tension springs make lifting and replacing safe and easy, even with a heavy mattress on top. Brilliant if you're short of storage space.

Visitor/Guest Beds - Long gone are the days of uncomfortable guest beds, with today':s innovative designs there is no excuse. You can either get a trundle bed set where the visitor bed rolls out from underneath the main bed, great for kids if your children's friends sleepover. Or some models have extendable legs so you can raise the visitor bed to the same height as the main bed. Both types are extremely easy to assemble and will not take up more space then the main bed.
